Our staff of 70 sworn and 21 non-sworn members stand ready to assist you in any way we can. Located in Central Florida we are in the heart of Seminole County, approximately 20 miles northeast of Orlando, Florida. With a growing population of 36,000 people we enjoy a quality of life that is enhanced by community involvement and interaction. Neighborhood Watch Programs, Community Youth Organizations and the development of an active Citizens Advisory Committee to the Police Department have played a key role to that success. The City of Winter Springs is primarily a residential community that recently opened the first phase of our new Town Center that will provide the focal point of business and entertainment. We have great schools including a top rated High School, an outstanding Middle School and 4 top notch Elementary Schools located in the City. Winter Springs is not only one of most beautiful cities in Florida, it is one of the best kept secrets. There are two great golf courses in the City. We are only 45 minutes away from the East Coast beaches of the Daytona area and within 30 minutes of any of the Orlando attractions. Seminole Community College is just 5 minutes away to our North and the University of Central Florida is just 20 minutes to the East of our City.
