The Information Services Bureau at the Winter Springs Police Department incorporates the Communication Division, Records Division, and Computer Systems.

The Communication Division has 12 employees. These dedicated employees are the link between the citizens and the Police Officers. Once the Communication Specialist receives information from a caller via phone, or 9-1-1 he or she logs that information into the Computer Aided Dispatch system and dispatches Officers to assist the citizens. The Communication Center handles approximately 7,500 calls for service each month. We have 4 shifts with 3 Communication Specialist on each shift.

The Records Division has 4 highly motivated employees. The Winter Springs Police Department handles over 87,000 calls for service a year and the Records Division is responsible for the reports taken by the Police Officers and the computer based Records Management System. The Records Clerks are available Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

We also have a Systems Administrator and a Crime Analyst in the Bureau that serves the entire departments needs.
