Honor Guard
The Winter Springs Police Department Honor/Color Guard was established in 1997 upon the arrival of Police Chief Daniel Kerr. The Honor Guard is a unit that represents the Department at official functions throughout the City and the Law Enforcement Community.
The Honor Guard falls under the Information Services Bureau, commanded and trained by Captain R. Heatwole. The Guard now officially starts the Winter Springs Holiday Parade and has conducted flag ceremonies at other holiday events, church events, and funerals. The Guard consists of members who wear specialty uniforms during the events.
