The Support Services Bureau at the Winter Springs Police Department incorporates the Communication Division, Records Division, Computer Systems and Code Enforcement.
The Communication Division has dedicated employees that are the link between the citizens and the Police Officers. Once the Communication Specialist receives information from a caller via phone, or 9-1-1 he or she logs that information into the Computer Aided Dispatch system and dispatches Officers to assist the citizens. The Communication Center handles approximately 7,500 calls for service each month. We have 4 shifts with 3 Communication Specialist on each shift.
The Records Division has highly motivated employees in the Winter Springs Police Department that handles over 87,000 calls for service a year and the Records Division is responsible for the reports taken by the Police Officers and the computer based Records Management System. The Records Clerks are available Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
The Code Enforcement Division is responsible for helping to enhance quality of life within our community and neighborhoods through proactive and balanced enforcement of city codes. Members of the division are interested in working with residents and business owners to achieve voluntary compliance through education and cooperative efforts by the community. If you see an issue within your area that you feel code enforcement may need to look into, please send your request to policecodeenforcementbureau@winterspringsfl.org and someone will help you as quickly as possible. You may also call 407-327-7975 at anytime with questions, comments, or to report a potential violation. We encourage community participation to help us make our community the best it can be.
