As of April 1, 2012, FDLE and the FBI will no longer accept hard copy fingerprint cards for background checks. All fingerprinting will be submitted electronically via a Live Scan device. Once the Police Department submits your fingerprints you will be responsible to cover the processing fees set forth by FDLE and the FBI. Payment via a credit card will only be accepted at the Civil Workflow Control Systems website at

Your fingerprint technician will provide you with the documents that you need to complete this process.

Your fingerprints will be submitted to FDLE for a state and national criminal records check and will be processed within 24 to 72 hours from time of receipt. If your fingerprints are rejected for fingerprint quality, you will be required to resubmit a second set at no additional cost. Fingerprinting times are Thursday thru Friday from 9am-12pm, 1pm-3:30pm

Resident fee is $5.00

Non-resident fee is $15.00

Need a valid State or Government Picture Identification Card

Steps are outlined below:

  • Go to your local police department during specified fingerprinting hours
  • Show technician your ID and any fingerprint documents
  • Pay the required resident/non-resident fee
  • The technician will scan and submit your fingerprints via a Live Scan device
  • Obtain an informational card from the technician
  • Once complete you will have 30 days to complete the fingerprint transaction
  • Go to and follow the on screen instructions
  • Once fees are paid your fingerprints will be released for submission
