Office of the City Clerk

The City Clerk is appointed by the Mayor and City Commission and serves as a Charter Officer. The City Clerk is the official records keeper of the City, the custodian of the City seal, and the designated local Elections Official and Filing Officer for all City elections.

The Office of the City Clerk provides administrative support to the Mayor and City Commission and connects the public with the legislative process. With efficient use of the City resources, the Office of the City Clerk aims to ensure the preservation of Winter Springs' legislative history focusing on transparency and accessibility. 

In addition, the Office of the City Clerk is responsible for:

  • recording and maintaining the official records including City ordinances and codes
  • providing notice and taking minutes for all City Commission and board/committee meetings
  • coordinating public records requests for the general public

2024 Winter Springs General Election

The 2024 Winter Springs General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. This election will determine the City Commissioners for Districts One (1), Three (3), and Five (5). Information on who is currently filed to run can be found on the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Website.

Qualifying week will be from Monday, August 26 at 12 p.m. to, Friday, August 30 at 12 p.m. During this time, individuals gather petition signatures, pay the qualifying and assessment fees, and sign the qualifying documents. Qualifying packets will be made available at City Hall starting August 1, 2024.
