Central Wind's Field of Dreams Playground

We are excited to re-announce the grand opening event of Central Winds Park’s Field of Dreams Playground! The grand opening will be held on Thursday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m. at Central Winds Park (1000 Central Winds Drive) near the baseball fields. This event will feature a ribbon-cutting by the Winter Springs Mayor and Commission and ballpark refreshments. The theme of the Field of Dreams Playground’s turf and equipment is “sports” to complement the athletic facilities and assets of Central Winds Park.

The playground will consist of three play areas: an inclusive tot playground with equipment designed for ages 2 to 5 years old, the main playground with equipment designed for ages 5 to 12 years old, and a swing set area that is friendly to both age ranges.

This playground is a part of the Perk up Parks Initiative. This initiative focuses on improving City parks and play-areas to strengthen our community and the overall quality of life. Some of the most exceptional characteristics of Winter Springs, which this initiative aims to affect, is the abundance of families, green spaces, and City parks. The mission of the Perks up Perks Initiative, to strengthen our community and the quality of life, aligns with the Winter Springs Mayor and Commission’s values, as well as the City’s belief in the importance of play.
