We are excited to announce the grand opening event of Trotwood Park’s Mount Trotwood Playground! The grand opening will be held on Friday, November 8 at 5:00 p.m. at Trotwood Park (701 Northern Way). This event will feature a ribbon-cutting by the Winter Springs Mayor and Commission, music, and light refreshments.

The theme of Mount Trotwood Playground is the Rocky Mountains. The log buildouts in the playground complement the log structure of the newly built Pamela A. Carroll Memorial Pavilion, another step toward fulfilling the vision of Trotwood Park. The playground will consist of two shaded, treehouse structures containing equipment designed for ages 2 to 5 years old and ages 5 to 12 years old. The structures will feature slides, climbing obstacles, bridges, a tic-tac-toe panel, and much more! Around the playground, you will find river-blue and grass-green turf and climbable boulders and mountains.

This playground is a part of the Perk up Parks Initiative, which focuses on improving City parks and play-areas to strengthen our community and the overall quality of life.  This focus aligns with the Mayor and Commission’s values as well as the City’s belief in the importance of play.
