The City of Winter Springs is proud to announce applications for Winter Springs Veterans Banner Program are now open.
The Winter Springs Veterans Banner Program honors local veterans by displaying commemorative banners along designated city streets on right of way streetlights poles.
This annual initiative recognizes the service and sacrifice of Winter Springs residents who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Banners are displayed each year from early January through early June and may be renewed each year for an additional fee.
Applications with photos will need to be submitted by October 1, 2026 at 5 p.m.

HOW IT WORKS:
QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify for the Veterans Tribute Banner Program, the following criteria must be met:
- The honoree is an active-duty member of the United States Armed Forces; OR
- The honoree is a retired or honorably discharged member of the United States Armed Forces who has, or did, reside in Winter Springs, or resided in Winter Springs and is now deceased
LOCATION
The banners will be displayed on light posts on the path along the Blumberg Boulevard from the area near Veterans Memorial to Bear Springs Drive.
COST
Sponsorship of each banner costs $200 which includes the design, printing, and installation. With an annual renewal fee of $100
BANNER INFORMATION
Each banner measures 17”x 36”, including:
- Honoree's name
- Military photo
- Branch of service
PHOTO REQUIREMENTS
All photos must be in .jpg format. Photos of the service member in their official uniform is preferred but not required.
