Criminal Investigations Bureau
The primary function of the Criminal Investigations Bureau is to conduct follow-up investigations of reported crimes and proactive violations of the law. These investigations consist of interviewing suspects, victims, and witnesses; analyzing information for validity, reliability, and accuracy; and compiling a comprehensive and factual case file to be presented in court. The Street Crimes Unit and Crime Scene and Evidence personnel also fall under this bureau.

Operations Bureau
The Operations Bureau is the very foundation of the Winter Springs Police Department. These men and women are the officers you see every day in your neighborhoods. They are out on foot, on bicycles, and in police cars twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week; they are there when you need help. The Winter Springs Police Department has embraced the Community Policing Philosophy and allows our officers to interact with the public on a much more personal level. The Winter Springs Police Department recognizes that in order to police the city effectively, we need the help of the citizens. We realize that together, we make the City of Winter Springs a great place to live and work.
